I'm unintentionally promoting things I am not stoked on.

TOOK THE DAMN NRA AND RON PAUL ADS OFF MY SITE!!! Annoying as all hell. I've received not one penny from Adsense and they are posting up those types of ads on my site. Wtf? I sent a comment to google. Yes, I damn well did!  #passiveagressive

My mom.

My mom
She worked at a lot if different places and I went with her to work a lot. I've been behind the scenes and spent hours wandering around and checking out places like:  bowling alleys and bars, casinos and their day cares, gemco and jc penny's. I've stood by her and wandered while she sold flower combs at the swap meets and downtown Cincinnati. While she made jewelry for people in the living room. Took the bus to the jeweler. Took a bus to the mall. Walked to church from the mall then back to catch the bus home. She usually had sees candy in her purse. As if she could sense I was bored or irritated she would pull out that white rolled up bag and sure enough there'd be a slightly melted, smudged a bit to the bag California brittle for me.

Old post that I never finished. Here it is...unfinished. RANT

Here it is:  2013!! hip hip hooray!!
My favorite recent president has been inaugurated again and I have completely changed my job location after 12 years at the same store.  I feel really blessed and lucky to even have a job and a family and a place to live.  The worst part about the new year is that I don't see a lot of financial benefits coming our way anytime soon and things are getting pretty fucking tight.  I hope to get a little tax return but as my kids get older and my wife gets a little more involved in her schooling, we are running out of funds.  It's God damn stressful.
How the hell did my parents pull this shit off?

On another note, let's talk a little politics.  My favorite blogging subject.  Guns, guns and more mother fucking 2nd amendment rights guns!!  How fucking stupid can people be crying about how Obama is taking away their guns?  I did not, at any point, hear him say he was going to take away guns from gun owners.  I'm all for having a gun if you know how to use it.  Go hunting, protect your family with a fire arm locked up for safety, go to the shooting range and have fun.  You don't need an Ak-47 to do that right?  How about these gun show people that are accidently firing their gun off in a room full of people?  Whatever, accidents happen, but if your a crazy person (crazier than most), I'm hoping you don't have a gun.  My oldest brother, living in Kentucky, is a hunter.  I love him, I'm proud of him, when he tells me he shot a ten point buck, i'm proud of him.  He eats the meat, he hunts.  Good for him.  He knows how to use a gun safely.  That's what guns are used for today.  Hunting.  Not killing, unless your in a war.  That is all, that's my voice about it.  Just hunt shit your planning on eating or fight for the country, don't kill civilians or regular old people.  Call me naive but that's what I think.  I'm not shooting rabbits and deer and shit but if ya'll are, go for it.  Whatever, that's your thing and I'm not telling you not to.  You do not need a gun that has hollow bullets or an AK-47, you just don't.

Well, how about our president stating that gay people should have rights?  That's pretty fucking cool no?  If you've read any of my blog posts, you already know that I'm not a crazy gay rights person.  I believe in human rights and just allowing people to be themselves, but we need a little help sometimes.  Most gay women can pull shit off, it's the men of the gay community that I think sometimes struggle a little more.  Women, in my opinion, are much, much stronger than men.  Ok, before all of you cry about this, you have to think back...way back, to the old days when women weren't allowed shit.  Yeah, thank you.  We have had to take care of your asses for a lot longer than you ever had to take care of us.  And now, you know what? Your dumb asses make a lot more than us so it's about time after 2 million trillion whatever years, you stepped it the fuck up and take care of women.  Whoa... ok.  Sorry, I got a little crazy.  Well, it's time I just threw this thing out.

Update on me.

Ok. I'm going to give this a try. I'm using my iPad mini and I'm not as familiar with the keyboard as I should be. In fact I'm tempted to use the voice feature because #1:  that's rad and how cool that we have such technology & #2:  it's so much easier than trying to type on this tiny little keyboard. (I'm from the typewriter era).  Yes, we had computers by the time I went to college but not in high school. Only rich kids had computers.  The voice feature has it's downfalls though.  Mainly you sound like your talking to yourself.  Enunciating every word is equally embarrassing as talking to yourself.  Too many errors if you don't enunciate.  Another thing I have to do is use "large" font. I'm old and my friggin eyes suck. Almost ready for bifocals. Awesome.
So what's been happening since my last post?  I left my job of 24 years. Yep. That was a crazy thing to do. Enough was enough. Happy for the change.  Stressful trying to pay the rent but luckily I had some retirement to cash out. That was so smart of me. No, it wasn't but shit, the kids have gotta eat.  I've been off work for 8
months and it's boring but I'm really getting used to chillin out all day in my sweats and slippers.  Sexy.  I drink coffee during the day,   beer at night and smoke like a chimney.  Just like a writer.  Actually in between I obsessively check Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and play candy crush.  If only I could get paid for that.  Dammit!
I do justify my lazy ass with the fact that I maintained a VERY stressful job for a long time.  I do have a bitchin resume and I've got a few interviews going on.  I do want to get back to work. I need to start rebuilding that 401K.
Other than that, I'm still blissfully in love with my partner of 14 years and we are semi-successfully raising our two teenage kids.  I'm still good looking and happy with my life.  Still coaching soccer with a great last season of all stars.  My son scored the championship goal in our last tournament of the season (the only goal of the final game) with a header off of a corner kick and that was BADASS!!  I have become a coach instructor and in addition to coaching the U16/19 boys, I will be the master coach for the U5
players.  75 four and five year olds shouldn't be tough at all.  Actually with boys and girls it's close to 200 players.  Let's see hoe this goes.
I have a job!!!  I'll start training for Red Robin burgers in August.  I've gone on 5 interviews and this place is where I should be. Great food first of all and the people are very nice. It's a good vibe and a good fit. I'll start as a manager in training and be an assistant for 6-9 months but they are paying me what I made as a general manager for McDonald's so that's fine. 26 years with the same company makes it very difficult to start all over but it's what needed to be done. There was no where else to go with McD's. I was miserable my last 5 years or so. It's a lot harder than people think and when company politics get in the way, it's even harder. I did and do still love McD's though. They made me the manager I am today and I'm grateful.  This place is very people centered and they treat their employees very good. My talents will be appreciated and that's really what it's all about:  respect.
I know this was a boring post but I had to put a few words down and start posting from this gadget. So I'll get my shit together and throw out a political rant next time.  Hopefully it won't be another
year before that comes.
    So until next time...

Beth...

My friend passed away a few weeks ago. This is her, over the last 20 years.  She was truly a crazy, fun, unexpectedly random, awesome person.  She made life seem so fun and exciting.  Beth Marie Stenmark was someone that captured my heart and a little bit of my soul the moment she came into my life like a crashing, burning giant burst of energy.  I was in love with her for many, many years and later, as we grew and moved onto our separate life styles, I remained in love with her.  She had a way of expressing herself to me that no-one has ever done before or since.  I felt so comfortable with her.  We would never last more that a few years and that was fine, our last conversation was very angry and then peaceful.  She laid into me and gave me a ration of shit for breaking her heart and then we mutually agreed that we loved each other with all our hearts and only want the best for each other.  I ended my very last conversation with her, 3 months before her untimely death, with the words:  "I love you so much, I will always love you"... She told me the same thing.  Of course, she called me right back to say a couple of things she had forgotten to say and then, "I love you".  It's going to be ok, I'm going to be ok, and wherever she is, she is ok.  Beth, I miss you so much.  We didn't talk often over the last few years but I will miss you anyway.  Knowing that I will never see her again in the way I've seen her is so heartbreaking.  Knowing that I will never hear her laugh or talk shit to me, never get a random, out of the blue text message or never hear her say "word up, happy fourth", breaks my heart.  But I do know that her death has made me take a look at my own life, it's made me want to publish my poetry and live my life to the fullest.  Her death has made me realize that although I don't live my life at all the way she lived hers, I need to appreciate what I've got and I can't take things for granted.
I can't write much more because my emotions are still so raw from this unexpected passing of this crazy bitch but I will post a poem or two that were written about her 23 years ago and ironically on the same date that I found out about her death.  I have a lot of poems about Beth but these were clustered together and written during a time in our lives where we were very happy together.
She will always be my wiener girl and my "guardian angel" and I will cherish our love and our friendship and the time we got to have together.
Beth, I love you, thank you for loving me unconditionally the way you always have.
yours,
Angie

Where shall I take you
I feel like I’m watching a child grow old
Sometimes I just sit and stare
Sometimes I get mad
Not mad just frustrated
As I watch you turn
Gently at first
But quick as a cat
Smart like a wild rabbit
Stop to watch.  Fear of the world
Maybe I’m the hunter
I’m not a very good one.
 Maybe you’re the hunter
Or just a sympathetic daydreamer
Look at our existence
Grip me with a curled smile
I’m not the one that’s taking you
You are
But I don’t mind
I’ve grown old watching you develop
I’d do it again
You deserve great
You’ve got good
But not enough
Never enough
I’ll keep trying
6/13/90

 I almost like this lifestyle
I said almost damn it
Maybe it’ll never be like yesterday
Maybe it will.
I refuse to answer that question
I refuse to face some truths
I have the right to do that
I can be confused, disillusioned, alone, scared.
I can cry over you
Or I can laugh about this
I choose to ignore it all
I’m the best in the world
I wish I could read your mind
I’d like to know what memories you’ve got stored
Good and bad
What you can sum this up as
And I’d like to know what you think will happen
Scare me
6/13/90

I’ll always love her
I used to fear
I sometimes do
But I’ll always hold this feeling
I’ll never change
I don’t want to
I’ll always love this girl
She’ll always be mine
That won’t change
It cant
I won’t let it die
I’ll die first

Weiner girl

It's June 12th or 13th and it's 3 am almost exactly as i start this post.  sometimes, you meet someone, that loves you so much, so unconditionally loves you that even when your a dick this someone still stares at you in awe and will always admire you.  Not like a baby or a child, but more like a puppy.  A puppy that can get angry and annoying but who always loves you, always acts as if nothing is wrong even though they just barked at the mailman.

I had a love like this.  A friend, a lover, a partner in crime, a crazy person that couldn't possibly stay in control long enough to have a serious relationship.  a flower, a hippy almost like Penny Lane in Almost Famous.  Better, stronger, more real because it was real.  Hated her, loved her, needed her, couldn't possibly spend more than a few years with her, but couldn't stay away.  Sexy, unbelievably so.  Head turner... oh my gosh forever she is beautiful.
My memories overpower me.  What a wonderful, ful of wonder, completely individual in a way you can't accept but cannot deny, character.  I will miss you so very much.  I've truly enjoyed your existence.
Thank you.
Sweet dreams,
A

Spreading Hate Like Butter On A Chicken Bun...

Well, here they are in all their glory, Sarah and I can't even remember... oh Todd... Sarah and Todd Palin acting stupid again.  They are so wrong.  How can people call themselves American and be so closed minded and hateful.
As I read all of the different statements and opinions about gay marriage, I have to remind myself that I am not married to my partner of 11 years.  We are raising children together but we are not "married" by a church or the state or anything of that sort.  If getting married was as easy for us as it is for heterosexual couples, I don't know that we would be married.  We probably would but I can't say for sure.  Honestly marriage isn't that important to me other than having "legal" rights,  health care, retirement, children etc.  I should expand but I'm too lazy.  Most of you know what the marriage certificate entails.  My parents were married.  My father twice, my mother 4 times in total.  My partners parents have been married more than 40 years and are still in love.  It's not about being married, it's about being told by a religion or a church or a bigot that being gay and married is wrong.

Maybe the bible does say that 2 dudes or 2 chicks shouldn't get married because God thinks it's wrong.  Maybe homosexuality is a sin, maybe only men and women should raise children together, maybe God did punish all the people in New Orleans with that hurricane because they were sinners.  Only God knows for sure.

As I see it, we were created by someone, something and we are here to live a life.  We are meant to live our lives healthy, happy and respectful of other humans, other creatures, and to the earth we've been dropped onto.  Whether it's through our faith in God, Buddha, each other or whatever, we all have to share this world.  I don't care if someone doesn't believe in what I believe, I don't care if someone I meet on the street or at work has a different opinion about religion or marriage than I do.  In fact, I would be annoyed if everyone I've ever met completely agreed with me on every subject because sometimes I'm wrong or need more information to fully understand certain things.  What truly bothers me is when a person of "power" expresses a hateful or hurtful opinion and doesn't care who it affects.  When I say person of power, I mean someone who is heard by thousands or ten's of thousands of people, or someone who is allowed to stand in front of an audience and speak or a classroom.  Any time a politician or a radio talk show host gets out and spews hate, it only incites more hate amongst regular people.  America, freedom of speech, I get it.  Think before you speak in front of millions.

Sure Sarah and Todd, we know, your not a big fan of gay marriage.  No one for one single minute thought that you were.  Holding those bags with that phony thumbs up is telling us what?  You love chicken?  You totally agree with Chik-Fil-A and think that marriage should only be between a man and a woman like the bible says?  Or is it really just because Obama made a statement a few months ago about gay marriage being ok?  That's the real deal here right?  Your hatred for him is so intense that you are willing to look even more like a bigot than you already do by supporting a place that you probably never even thought about going to.  It's not just your base, it's just him.  Your probably not racist, your just so up the tea party's ass that ANYTHING to show your opposition to him... you can't resist.  Whatever.  Is it a sin to have a child out of wedlock when the law says sex before 18 is illegal?  Is it a sin to leave your term 1/2 way through because of the stress on your family that you continue to put on them over and over.  Is it a sin to hate another human being as much as you hate Obama.  Let's talk about sin for a minute.

Adultery, divorce, hate, Oxycontin, driving a really long way with a dog on the roof of your car, leaving your wife when she's diagnosed with cancer, naming your son Trig or Trak, comparing a US President to a man that killed at least 11 million people, giving the most false information possible to your viewers on a regular basis, being anti-abortion but pro capital punishment, how about comparing our US President to a psychopathic killer that walked into a theater shooting guns and killing 12 innocent people.  Are these things sins?  Are these things worse than loving another human being and wanting to spend the rest of your life with someone.  I realize that sin is a huge part of the religious argument here.  I also realize that sin is spread everywhere.  The left have sin also, they just don't preach the word of the lord as much.  I don't see how we can mix religion with politics or fast food and think that's ok.

Have your religious views, teach them to your children, post them on Facebook but don't make a public statement about your religious views when you sell chicken, or when you are trying to get people elected.  Good for Huckabee and Santorum that they have a strong belief system, keep that stuff under your roof, as I will keep my sexuality under mine.  I'm not running for office or hosting a show on TV.  Talk God and the bible on the religion channel or in your church.  Stop telling me about my sin when your sinning everyday more than I do in a year.  Your judgement of others is enough sin for a lifetime.

When religious people talk about gay people and raising children, that's another thing that really bothers me.  I don't hear anything about child abuse, spousal abuse, incest, child pornography or fathers that desert their children nearly as much as I do about gay parents not being in the best interest of the child.  It seems like as long as there is a mother and father in the picture, the rest is just circumstance.  There is no study showing that children of gay parents turn out any different than children of two heterosexual parents.  The only thing I could find was that lesbian moms spend more time playing with their kids than heterosexual dads do and children of gay parents are less gender specific when it comes to roles of men and women.  In other words, they don't give a care who cooks and cleans or who works full time.  I did find a lot of info about children of divorce, children in abusive homes, children of single mothers or single fathers and children whose parents are first cousins.  No religious groups talk about that do they?

Children raised by gay parents are no worse off then children without fathers or children living in foster care or in orphanages or on the streets.  My children are being raised by gay people, they are "gaybies", they are normal, weird because they're teenagers, but normal.  They aren't gay and probably won't be.  They are healthy and smart and funny.  Mostly, they are loved and they are surrounded by unconditional love.  Not abnormal or inappropriate love, the same kind of love that a mom and dad family have for their kids.  They might get a question or two from their friends but nothing more than that.  We don't dress them in rainbow clothes or walk down the street shouting out our gay pride so that helps some.

Church near a gay friends house in VA
God created us.  You can't "pray the gay away".  It's in our plan whether we are gay or not.  Some of us will be comfortable and accept it, some people will never come out and always suffer in silence or pretend they aren't gay.  Some people are straight and will never be gay.  Most people are straight I believe.  It's not a choice just as having a mole on your ass or talking with a lisp isn't a choice.  You can have a mole removed or go to speech therapy but you can't take a class or go to a retreat and not be gay anymore.  You can choose not to eat at chik-fil-a, you can choose to not say hateful things on your radio show, you can decide to be open minded yet stick to your beliefs.  It's not hard to listen to someones opinion and disagree but it's gotta be tiring to hate someone so much that you search for ways to harm them through speeches and monologues.  Where is the reason? Worried about our country because of health care but not hate?  Worried about the deficit but not the war or corporate greed?  Worried about gay marriage but not divorce, adultery or teenage pregnancy?  Good luck when you get to heaven.  Don't forget your waffle fries.

this is from an online article on cnn.  thought i should add it:
Politicos such as Santorum and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee are also showing their support. Huckabee has called for a "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day" next Wednesday.
The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), meanwhile, is promoting a National Same-Sex Kiss Day to be held at Chick-fil-A restaurants across the country on August 3

The number of Americans who say they have a close friend or family member who is gay, meanwhile, has jumped from 49% in 2010 to 60% today, the first time in CNN polling that a majority of Americans have said that. In the 1990s, most Americans said they did not know anyone close to them who was gay. Attitudes about sexual orientation have also changed over that same time period. In 1998, a majority believed that someone who is homosexual could change their sexual orientation if they chose to do so. Today, only a third feel that way, and the number who say that gays cannot change their orientation is almost six in 10.

My crazy allergy attack & google has me confused with a Republican!

ok, i don't know how to fix this but i keep getting these ads on my blog site for Romney and Ron Paul.  Google has me listed as a male, 18-24 years old.  They aren't as accurate as they should be.  I'm a 41 year old female.  Maybe I'm super immature... of course... duh.  That's exactly the problem here.
Whatever... so my google search results are how to tie a tie or you-tube the shuffle dance step by step... who really knows what they base this on?

Other news... my fucking ridiculous allergies are beginning again. Oh snapper fish, I didn't blog about my super awesome February allergic meltdown!! well, let me start with a photo that i will upload but won't show up in this exact location so hopefully you haven't looked at it yet.  It requires  a little warning.  This is NOT how I normally look.

for the record. i deleted these.  they were so awful. so yuck. had to drop that shit. i'm too vain. yick...

Ok, I posted 3.  I gradually had some symptoms of allergy.  Starting with itchy tongue then ears.  A day or so later, my lower lip swelled, then my top lip.  Itchy, red hands and feet.  Swollen hands.  Unbearable itchy feet and toes.  Thought of anything new I'd eaten or used to wash my body or clothes with.  Nothing was different, no explanation.  I started to get very, very anxious.  This worsened each day.  I had an itchy chin, my eyebrow started to swell and itch and then I woke up one morning and I looked like someone hit me in the forehead with a metal pipe.  My face!!! My precious face!! I was horrified.  I had gone to Urgent Care, they told me to take benedryl and some other daytime shit.  I tried that, no relief.  Googled it, tried it all... no help.  Angioderma is what I finally concluded and that, surprisingly, has no cure but isn't deadly.  Some relief was found because this bizarre torturous thing had a name.  I had a couple shots of keratin in my ass and that only slowed the swelling.  The itching had turned to rash and it was all over my arms, then the back of my legs and finally... my inner thighs... I was always grateful that my crotch didn't itch...then it did.  AAAAAGGGHHHH!!  Truly awful.  Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.  Truthfully... torture, depression and anxiety were my complete composure during this time.  It became kinda scary when I had to stop every few hours at work (meanwhile... this has been about 3 1/2 weeks, I haven't called in sick once) because I felt like I couldn't breathe.  That's when I left work early, went to urgent care and had a full on panic attack.  I told the nurse it felt like the inside of my throat was swelling and that was crazy.  She responded with:  "that's not crazy, it probably is".  Holy shit!!!  Now I needed an epi-pen and was told by my doctor (which I felt I had to get due to this mad illness) that if I felt like this again I should slam this needle in my thigh and call 911.  Does she have ANY idea how expensive an ambulance is???  Yeah, right?  911 my ass!!

I went to an allergist and they scratched and poked my skin what felt like 100 times.  They took a bunch of little swabby tests and the conclusion was that I'm allergic to every kind of fucking plant and grass you can think of.  It sort of slowly went away.  I had hell for 4 weeks then nothing.  Now, I get itchy ears and swollen eyebrows and lips but nothing noticeable or crazy.  I take claritin during the day when I feel any symptoms and now I owe urgent care, the allergist and my doctor about $300 in total (I, luckily, have insurance through my job or I'd be out a few thousand).  The whole experience, made me realize how ultra, super sensitive I am to pain and discomfort.  I am a huge pussy but at the same time, tolerate a lot before I make a doctor's appointment.  I guess that's normal for a pussy.  Don't want to take my car to the mechanic because they'll discover something ridiculous, same thing for a doctor.

If this is what happens when you get older then holy shit! I can't wait to shit my pants and forget where the fuck I'm standing!  Pretty sure benadryl and claritin won't take care of those symptoms.

Let's hope I can just get through a few more high pollen counts before those things happen!  Here's to an easy menopause that google will never recognize...

All-Star Soccer Story...Never Give Up!

(I started this post a long time ago... months... wanted to finish and post)

Well, sorry for the long, long lag in work here. I've been a busy beaver. Soccer took a lot out of me this time around. I started coaching the regular fall season in August and having a very successful season, decided to coach All-Stars which just ended a week ago. That's a lot of friggin soccer. My regular team, the Panthers, had a great run. We only lost 1 of ten games before play-offs. Our 1st playoff game was against a team that we had played twice in regular season. Once was a 1-0 win and the second time was a tie, 1-1. This team was great, we were nervous... we played a whole game with 0-0 score. Overtime, still no score, penalty kicks. We scored one more than them and won. This meant we would move on to play 2 more teams before semi-finals. We won our game 5-1 and then played the championship game and won that 6-1. It was epic. We took the championship title and went on to play in the Area play tournament that included 9 cities. We placed 3rd, again going into overtime and penalty kicks. It was pretty awesome and unfortunately we lost to a Santa Barbara team so the 1st and 2nd place teams went on to the state tournament, both Santa Barbara teams... not a fan of Santa Barbara's soccer... I have decided to win again this season and give them a good beating.  If it's meant to be.

I coached an All-Star team for the 1st time ever and it was all the work and time dedication I expected it to be but was so worth it.  We didn't play incredibly strong but we did take home a 1st place trophy in our very first tournament.  It was a "sportsmanship" tournament so winning games and scoring goals wasn't important.  How your team, coaches and parents treated the opposing team was the way to win.  We got our full point potential for every game we played and the referee's loved us.  It was quite an honor to have a representative come up to me after our last game and pull me aside to give me the good news.  That particular game will live in my mind forever... we had tied our 1st game, lost game 2, lost game 3 and the 4th game wasn't looking very promising.  My assistant coach and his son, my goalkeeper, had a Chargers game to go to so I was short him and 1 other player.  The other team was Beverly Hills and they were huge, watching them warm up had us all very nervous.  We all kept joking that they probably had personal trainers for each player and their coach was a professional hired by all the "Ritchie Rich" parents.  These U12 boys looked like they were U21, they had beards.  There was a game on the field we needed to play on so we really had only a couple of minutes to get ready, all my boys had just come from lunch so we were all sluggish.  My keeper was out so I had to put my own son in the box for the 1st half, he's not usually a goalie so he was very intimidated.  The first goal hit that net like a torpedo, second shot bounced of the post but literally shook the ground.  My kid looked like he was gonna either shit his pants or turn and run.  It was awful, he didn't cry though, he stood there and tried to stop these gargantuan boys from taking his head off with a soccer ball.  By half time, we were down 0-3.  All the my kid's dads (who are all coaches, their kids were picked by me and my assistant during the regular season) stood behind me mumbling about what I should do and how I need to reposition etc, etc... I had to finally turn around and tell them to let me coach because here, it's my job.  It was pretty stressful.  We were getting pummeled.  The boys were looking very defeated, every time they got the ball, someone stole it back, the other team had code words and secret plays, it was obvious that they had played together for years (I later found out, they are an "extra" team and have played together for numerous seasons).  1/2 time speech I knew I had to make some changes and give some sound advice.  I put one kid on #14 (I'm pretty sure this kid drove himself to the game), and pulled another boy back to protect the keeper, pulled my son out of the box and replaced him with another goalie.  I let these boys know that no matter what happens, they have the power to win if they try really hard and don't let the missed shots drag them down.  My assistant always tells them that 90% of the game is in your head and if you can keep your head in the game, you can do anything.  We rallied the team, one of my boys got a goal and that was all we needed.  This other team thought they were gonna beat us bad but we got in their head and shook 'em up with that 1st goal in the 2nd half.  I'm not exactly sure what I said on that 1/2 time break but I know that I got them going and I let them know how proud I was of them and how confident I was in their ability to shut this team down and not let them score any more.  They came out onto that field looking like rock stars.  They were passing, communicating and making spectacular plays.  I called out to Nick, one of my players, asked him if he was tired and wanted to sit out.  He said no, he was fine and I promptly ordered him to score one more and BAM!  He turned around and shot one in like a rocket!  The boys started getting pumped up, the parents started cheering.  I ran up and down the sidelines and started shouting out at them!  It was awesome!  Third quarter started and we were still losing 2-3.  We were still keeping the ball on the right side of the field and still holding them back.  Finally we were down to the last few minutes and there was a foul called almost to the half line.  We were awarded a free kick.  It was in a spot that was almost impossible for anyone to make.  Off to the side, too far really to go right in with power and the kicker would have to be very talented to make this shot.  We, luckily, had one of those types of kids.  I shouted out to let David kick it.  We held our breath, ref backed up, David backed up and in slow motion (or so it seemed), he shot that friggin ball right into the goal!!  I think I had a small heart attack, the parents behind me screamed and jumped up and down and we had this "elite" super human team tied, we tried our best to get one more for the win but the ref blew the whistle and we ended in a tie.  It was one of my proudest moments as a coach, my boys ran off the field and we all cheered and I think I started to get teary eyed.  The other team looked like they had no idea what just happened and their coach took off his hat and threw it to the ground.  It was both hilarious and sad.  Even though we didn't win, I will always remember that game as a perfect example of why you never, ever give up.  Fight on until the whistle blows because you never know what your capable of until you are put to the challenge.

After the game a lady whispered in my ear that we were to meet in another location to receive our trophy and medal for placing 1st in sportsmanship.  She asked me not to say anything because it was supposed to be sort of private to not make any of the other teams feel bad about not winning (that is crazy if you ask me because I want everyone to know I'm a winner).  We drove a few parks away and were presented with a trophy and medals for the boys.  Some teams were still playing but based on our perfect score for sportsmanship, no other team was even close to winning.  Very cool.  We went on to place 2nd in a Lompoc tournament and 2nd in an unofficial mini tourney and unfortunately didn't get to go on to state because we lost in penalty kicks for one of our last tournaments.  I ended up having 4 games decided on penalty kicks last season.  2 from regular and 2 from All-Stars.  That is also a VERY stressful situation to be in, we won 2 out of those so hopefully, this season, we will win them all.  Those are a result of again, not giving up.  Holding some of these teams to a tie is sometimes all you can do when they are bigger and more skilled.  I am truly happy when I am coaching and enjoy every stressful minute of it.  Spring this season was also fun and the 3 months when I'm not coaching always turns into anxiety as I wait to see who I get to influence in the new season.  I'm not exactly politically correct and I sometimes set a bad example by swearing or saying slightly inappropriate things when I'm angry but I know for a fact that I make a positive impact on these boys and I love them all as if they were my own.  Trying to get 10-12 boys to listen and behave is not an easy task but I wouldn't trade it for the world.  I am very lucky and very thankful.

I will try to post more before 6 more months and maybe my next post will be hateful and filled with swear words if your lucky.  Hold your breath.

oh and i'm getting old so i have to post this shit in a bigger font... sorry about that...

Family fun/Dodger game!

Tonight I went to a Dodger game with my girl and our children. It was fantastic and really fun. Dodgers won, the 2nd inning we got 8 runs which included a grand slam. It was beautiful... I am very pleased. My son made a comment about not wanting to go anywhere with Amy and myself because we fight so much. That's pretty sad... We hardly fought at all tonight (only when it came to parking... Amy hates my driving and I hate hers... who likes a backseat driver?... nobody...). It was a lot of fun and I'm really happy that I forced my family to go to the game. Our seats were great and our team won. What a fun family night!! I love my wife and our children... even when they are brats... Until our next adventure...

Soccer blogs coming soon... yes, I know your holding your breath...

Thank God for puppies and illegal aliens!!

It's been a month since I last posted. I apologize and before you get excited, I can't leave a big old post tonight either. I love writing on this blog but it really takes a lot of energy outta me. I'm going to try a little harder to post more stuff here... soon...

My hit counter stopped working and I'm really pissed, I had over 14,000 hits on this blog. Musta been a glitch.

The kids finally went back to school after what they say was a "boring, lame" summer... must be rough... sleeping in every day for 3 months, not doing a damn thing... poor kids. We tried to make it fun. We camped, went to the beach, the movies and the water park one day. I spent their college fund at the fair and took them to a great concert. Whatever... pre-teens.

I'm pissed off at some of my friends on Facebook. They are old co-workers of mine that are seriously Republican and as if that's not bad enough, their ignorant. I know, I know... isn't that a give in? But, no, not always. I have Republican friends that aren't totally retarded. I try to have a legitimate conversation/debate with them and they bring up illegals and welfare. That's not Christian of you guy that posts endless "praise the good lord for this picture of a puppy and a duck"... Baby ducks and puppies need love but please don't give any money to a family of 5 that has no father around because he's in jail and no way for the mother to work and pay for daycare and rent... etc... How bout the folks that leave the "re-post if your happy that welfare people have to be drug tested". Yes, that is a great idea but the percentage of people abusing welfare and medi-cal is pretty small in comparison to the number of people that actually need it. It is much more difficult to get these benefits than it once was. I really need to do more research in this area because I am very close to telling more than one redneck hillbilly off in regards to their "I love God but hate welfare, illegal aliens and anyone that benefits from anything resembling good will towards men" Now, I am definitely NOT saying that it's ok for people to get government aid that don't need it, don't try every other thing possible to take care of themselves, or abuse the system so they don't have to work. I don't condone illegal aliens working here without attempting to become citizens and just going from Social Security number to Social Security number until their caught. There needs to be some regulation, some control. It's a lot easier said than done. My point here is that the right wing zombies (the people that just repeat what they hear on Fox news) often blame government funded programs and illegal aliens for our countries economic issues. They always say that the left blames the billionaires. Uh... yeah, the billionaires that don't pay enough, they are partly responsible, the mortgage brokers that gave out crazy loans and scored a whole lotta dough on money that didn't exist, the oil companies that are making their biggest profit years EVER while we are paying through the nose for gas. The wall street guys and the fucked up, completely unnecessary war that we started 10 years ago, these also contribute to our current economical situation. AND... why hasn't Obama fixed all of these problems yet? I mean come on already... Congress is TOTALLY cooperating with him on every thing he wants to do... right? God forbid he try to help the country by giving us health care that every one can afford, or offer up a stimulus plan. What a total asshole he is. Why didn't he wave his magic wand and erase all the debt that ol Bushy pants racked up for us?

These people with their fucking countdown until the next election, the jerk-offs with their "how's that hopey changey thing workin out for ya" bumper stickers and the dicks that keep saying that Obama hasn't done a damn thing to get jobs. Uh...neither has John Boehner like he promised. We can't create jobs if every friggin thing Obama tries to do the Republican run Congress tell him no. I guess I sound just as bad as the right, playing the blame game. It's a matter of how you look at it I suppose. Learn the facts... that's all I ask. And, quit bragging about how much you love the Lord while you trash all the people that are less fortunate than you. Quit saying that "your taxes shouldn't pay for welfare, health care and illegal aliens using all the free shit that's offered". Jesus probably would tell you to help someone that needs help. Jesus would probably want us to let the children of illegal aliens go to school and to the doctor when their sick. Wouldn't he? Wouldn't God want you to let the government help a single mother get groceries for her kids? Maybe he would say "teach those illegal aliens and homeless people to fish". Maybe he wouldn't say "go fishing for the homeless guy and bring him a 40 ouncer to drink while you cook the fish dinner" but he probably wouldn't tell you to call that homeless guy a lazy slob. He might want you to offer some kind words or a warm jacket or maybe pay a little bit more of your $90,000/year salary to help build a shelter. Wouldn't that be Christlike?

So... that's my "short" post. So much for just catching up on the latest...

In conclusion... I know that my right sided friends don't read this blog but if they did, I'd say this: Quit posting about how you love God and all the blessings he has laid upon you and your wonderful family when your very next post is about how thankful you are that God hasn't allowed our President to get anything done. Quit saying how great it will be in 517 days when another dip shit is sworn in to save our asses from our own asses. Quit posting pictures of snuggling raccoons and claiming that is proof of God's love while your bad mouthing the fact that the government is doing everything for lazy people. And PLEASE stop asking for less government involvement while you have a "thank your mother for deciding not to abort you" or "marriage is between 1 man and 1 woman" bumper stickers on your car. Instead of being pissed off about abortion being legal, teach your damn kids what a condom is... wow, what a concept! Instead of being pissed off about gay marriage, worry about your own damn marriage and quit giving birth to gay babies.

I'm not too sure about the existence of Hell but I do know Karma's a bitch.

516 days until Barrack is RE-ELECTED!!!

puppies and baby ducks
are really cute. Thanks God!

More Dickhead Neighbors!!!

So some-fucking-how I've changed my e-mail on blogspot so whenever I log on, I have to log off and change the e-mail. I can't remember all these passwords, e-mail addresses, login names etc... seriously, it's annoying. I know your supposed to write it down but who has time for all that shit? Not me, I'm telling you that right now, not me friends.

So... the 4th of July was incredible!!! I had the usual great time with the neighbors and friends that are there every year and this year, we threw a little hot sauce in the mix and BAM! I got CRAZY with our dick-head next door neighbors. My dumb ass son decided to go in the back yard of our house and play with a lighter and some dried grass and try to start a fire. 1st of all, how stupid is that? 2nd of all, he's 11 years old and everyone knows 11 year olds are dumb asses. So this mean as hell, angry bitch that lives in the house next to us comes marching down the street and approaches my wife (big mistake)... she says to Amy "I NEED TO TALK TO YOU!!" Amy's like "fuck you" and points to me... (she knows that I'm the one you talk to when a kid of ours is misbehaving... she'll fuck a bitch up...). So this crazy lady walks onto Gramma's lawn (another big mistake as Gramma has had a few jello shots and will also "fuck a bitch up", like mother like daughter). We are having a block party and there is like 25 people on the grass. Gramma says: "get the fuck off my lawn"... oooooh... this didn't go over well... crazy bitch gets mad and I stand up. I politely ask her to walk down to our houses and work this out privately whatever it is that she is pissed off about. AND THEN THE SHIT STORM STARTS...

She begins screaming at me and telling me that my son is trying to set her house on fire. She tells me "all you care about is the fact that he didn't catch the house on fire"... uh yeah, that is kinda the point here right? your house DID NOT catch on fire so shut the fuck up... then we go into a screaming match and if any of you know me, you know that I am not the kind of person that stands up and screams at people. I do not ever, never, ever tell people off in a rude, obnoxious or hurtful way. I always try to work things out and use a big girl voice. I hate to make people embarrassed or feel stupid. I apologize even if I'm not wrong. I'm that kind of person, I try to see both sides... you know, a Libra. This time though, I had had enough. I was using my liquid courage and not for one more God damn minute standing for this bitch's shit talking. A little history will inform you that this woman and her husband have been nothing but mean to my son and Amy. They are rude and stare and approach me constantly about my son and all the horrible terrible things he does to them (it's always stupid shit like taking the bricks off their wall or leaving watermelon on their driveway... you know, really tragic, life threatening shit). So when she starts shouting at me about this little "almost" fire and telling me how he is just a horror and I should do something about it I completely lost control. I stood on my grass, her on hers with her dumb fucking grunting husband behind her and we shouted all the shit that has been going on for the last 2 years. I said that since day one, she's been a bitch. Standing on my lawn when I pulled into my driveway telling me I needed to wash the watermelon off her driveway because she would get ants. She replied "well, we didn't want to get ants". Give me a fucking break... really? ants? Whatever. I talked to her about the bricks Lukas used for a ramp and how she screamed at him and rang my doorbell to yell at me because my son took her wall apart. Fix the fucking wall if your so worried about it. Cement the God damn bricks down bitch! I told her that she was mean and rude and not nice. Yes, I went there! I told her that they were "not nice neighbors...". I know, right? I had to do it. I had to let them know that they were "mean" people. I told her that I've been nothing but nice and smile, wave and introduced myself when we moved in. She told me no-one likes us... I'm like "what the fuck? are you insane? I have more friends in this neighborhood than you've ever had in your whole life"... let's take a poll... bee-otch!

So... really long story short, she tells me "your always defending your son"... uh, HELLO... he's my SON!! Of course I'm going to defend him. I tell her "you have girls, you don't understand". She says: "I raised a boy, I know". I replied (unknowingly) "and I'm sure he turned out AWESOME". I later found out, he's now in jail. She shut up pretty quick after that. My brother in law shows up on my lawn and suddenly... the husband says "I'll kick somebodies ass if I have to". Really? Really? "Who's ass are you gonna kick? Mine? My son's?" It was ridiculous. I let her know that she was a bitch and crazy and their family will no longer push my family around. I have gone out of my way to be nice and neighborly. I have tried and tried to apologize for anything my son does, for my dogs barking, for all of it. But now, I'm done, I'm over it. I'm a fucking good person, a good neighbor and a good parent. I will not tolerate her fucked up attitude and staring at our big gay family anymore. Don't fuck with the nice guy because the nice guy has WAY better karma than you!!!

So... I return to the party completely feeling bad ass and my daughter, who wouldn't give me props if I jumped in front of a bullet for her, tells me "wow, you really stood up to her, that was awesome". It was at that moment that I realized, I did the right thing. My son was grounded but I earned the respect of my wife, my other neighbors that were too scared to say anything to those assholes and my 12 yr old daughter so fuck it....

Now, they still stare, give us dirty looks and try to listen to all of our discussions with any one we meet with in front of our house but they haven't said a fucking word and I'm waiting for that moment that she tries to confront me about anything because even though she's twice my size, enough jello shots and I'll probably punch her in her fat face.

...and that's another neighborhood soap opera story for you... until the next time... good night and keep smiling and waving at your dick head neighbors because they've GOT to be better than ours...

Wiener, Oprah & the neighborhood bully...

Hello again, Hello... just called to say Hello... OK sorry, little Lionel Ritchie goin' on just now. Let's talk Wieners for a second. No, were not talking about my cute little dogs, we're talking about Congressman Anthony Wiener, the Democrat from New York that sent photos of his wiener over the Internet. Whatever, who gives a dick? He got stupid and took a picture of his boner and sent it over twitter as a tweet instead of a direct message. His biggest mistake there is that he's married and shouldn't be sending anything to anyone except his wife. He tried to deny it, finally admitted it and won't resign. He shouldn't resign. He didn't break any laws. He looks like a dumb ass and did a really weird, kinda pervy thing but he's not a monster. He is one of my favorite to watch and seems to be really passionate about his job so, let it be. He will totally get re-elected and the people he's representing in New York really seem to like him so forget about it... let it fizzle out and get flaccid already... enough about wieners... I'm over it. (have been for a while but that's another post).

Alright, let's talk Trump... oh fuck it, let's not.

How about Oprah going off the air? I hate to say this but I love that bitch. She is really a big deal. She made a difference in a lot of peoples lives and the haters should really just take a look at all the stuff she's brought into the light on her show. I remember about 20 or so years ago a family friend said she wasn't going to last, he said she was ridiculous and I'm sure he mentioned something about her being a black woman... (yes, some of my east coast relatives might be considered a bit racist). Guess she proved him wrong eh?

So onto another neighborhood soap opera episode in a nutshell: kid 2 doors down is a total asshole, he has been a dick to my son since as long as I can remember. My kid's grandparents live 2 doors up from us and even when our kids were little and came to visit, this kid fought with my son. I'm not going to detail each and every thing that makes this kid a jerk but lets just say he has "short-man's complex" and is pretty much the neighborhood bully and gets kids to hang out with him by having the latest and the greatest of whatever is popular. I could go on and on but for lack of energy, i won't. So after several confrontations with his mom about the shit he's done to my kid, we haven't had issues since about November. My kid wants to be friends with everyone so he is always trying to pretend that either nothing happened or it wasn't any one's fault. It's a nice trait to try to get along with everyone but it backfires sometimes and he really takes a while to learn. He's finally learned with this one. The straw that broke the camels back was when the bully kid threw pine-cones and hit my kid in the head. He came home and said, "OK, I've had enough, tell his mom". That's all it took. Never mind that this kid threw rocks at his face, called him a "faggot", told him that his mom was fat and that his house is the gayest, ugliest house on the street, kicked him in the back and chased him with a stick that had dog shit on it... oh he also said everyone could play Halo at his house except "gay Lukas" in front of a bunch of kids... OK, so kids are mean... totally, but the straw was a pine-cone??? That shit musta hurt like hell... there is more that this kid has done, I just can't remember all the bullshit. So, I march my weird-gay ass over to his house, tell his mom that her kid is an asshole (nicer language of course) and that he needs to stay away from my son before I get crazy on their mother-f'n asses. (I am not the parent that shouts and screams, if anything, I blame my own kid before running around blaming everyone else...ask Amy, it pisses her off that I don't get more angry). So... this last weekend the little prick and his friend are walking down the street and kick my son's back tire of his bike causing him to fall. My son got up, walked over to the kid and punched him in the face...twice. My son has been taught not to fight, turn the other cheek etc... this time, I'm glad he fought back. The boy (according to my son) fell to the ground and then walked away. I don't know if words were exchanged or if the kid cried or what, all I know is my son stood up for himself and made that kid think twice before picking on him again...here's the problem: He has decided to retaliate through really wussy type strategies. He has vandalized our cars. Problem 2: I have no proof. Oranges are thrown on annually at our house. The back yard occasionally gets a few limes and oranges thrown from the house on the other side of our next door neighbors house (evil dwells 2 doors down). This happened last summer and guess what? Day of my kid punching other kid, it happened again. I placed the smashed fruit in their driveway and then later notice that Amy's car was scratched on all four sides, across the trunk and a big X across the hood. Not so deep that it won't buff off and not so deep that it couldn't be mistaken for a bike crash or a parking lot scuff but 2 days later... I notice that my car was really scratched very obviously on the rear window just over my PLAYSOCCER sticker. Like 5o up and down deep scratches on the glass. I only noticed it when I opened the back to put something in, my truck is dirty and a little beat up so I didn't notice until later. This is bad, I've handled oranges, but fuckin' up our cars, that's a little extreme. That's really illegal and can lead to more serious shit. I can't prove it but based on the recent incidents and also adding to the fact that we are soccer rivals with this family, I came to the conclusion that this kid is responsible. Now, obviously, I've talked to the mom before and nothing changes so I really don't think talking to her would help. The police will take the report and nothing more so all I have is documenting each incident and talking to the neighborhood about watching out for our property.

We live in an awesome neighborhood. I love everyone on this street except for 2 or 3 houses. My kids are happy here, our family is close and my next door neighbors on the right are fantastic. Every where you go, there is a few total assholes that are just miserable and we happen to live next door to and 2 doors down from the 2 asshole families of our little space. I wouldn't think of moving or even saying that this is a bad place to live. I just am amazed at the way some people raise their kids. I'm no parent of the year but my kids just don't treat other people badly. They treat us bad but not other kids or adults. Not much has changed since I was a kid as far a bullies go, there was and always will be bad seeds, I just wish we didn't run into them as often as we do. Makes me even more proud of our two kids and reminds us on a regular basis that as far as parenting goes, we're doing OK.

Now, let's talk about Michelle Bachman and Sarah Palin... no, just like Trump... let's not.

Good luck to the GOP presidential candidates... now that's a bunch of bullies I wish my son could punch in the face...twice.

Osama Bin Laden is DEAD!!!

Today is a wonderful day for America, for our President and for the "war on terror". This is fan-freakin'-tastic. I know that we joke about Dick Chaney being dead and stuff like that but this guy, this "axis of evil do-er" really needed to be killed. I'm so very happy that Obama is in office at this moment when this son of a bitch has been taken down. I knew he would do it. I'm curious to see what spin will be put on this to try and make Obama look bad. I'll have to wait and see. Osama Bin Laden has been captured and killed and his body is now in the possession of the U.S. I will try to post more later in the week as I learn more.

T.V. and earthquake shit

Here I am again... thought I fell off the face of the earth well... think again, I'm back. I'm watching this show on Link tv right now and it's fucking great. Totally talking about the investigation of the 911 attacks. Hate to bring up old shit but Jeez that Bush administration fucked us up. I'm pretty sure I lost some friends over that asshole. I'm passionate when it comes to Americans getting pissed on by their own President. Call me crazy but I'm not just gonna sit back and pretend I don't know what the fuck is going on... anyway, it's interesting. That is all.

Hooked up my family with some sweet ass iphone's and after 6 days my kid already doubled his allowed data usage... a week after that, he used 4 times the amount I paid for. I don't know exactly what he's doing to use all that data but holy hellfire... I talked to him, told him what not to do and what he's allowed but it's sorta like talking to a puppy and asking them nicely not to piss all over your shoes in the corner. They look really cute and pretend like they understand but as soon as you step away... theres urine all over the wall and carpet... yes, I just compared my kid to a pissing puppy. If you knew him... you'd understand. He has really tiny sharp teeth too and also likes to go for walks... don't judge me.

I see our economy improving. That's a good thing. I'm constantly hearing "especially in this economy" it's irritating. We are going up people. Start thinking positively. Start giving Obama his props already. I pray for Japan. I don't worry about the radiation thats washing up on our shores but I do worry about the big earthquake we could have here. Get your water people. 99 cent store. It's not just for drinking, you need it for your toilets and such. Have a couple of backpacks with spare clothes, shoes, a shit load of granola bars and maybe some booze. Tweezers, blankets, socks, first aid shit, flash lights with batteries and a little portable radio. Have a plan. Your cell phone isn't gonna work like a normal day and your kids are gonna freak out. Have something to transport your cats and know where your leash is for your dog (see how I assume everyone has dogs and cats). Oh and jackets too. I get cold... I just realized how important a jacket might be if there is a big earthquake. That's my helpful tip for the week. Be prepared for a big earthquake. Your not going to die so don't be like "it's ok, I'm gonna die anyway"... wrong... you'll live and be cold so get a jacket.

Well, Debbie Downer is signing off... T.V. show update... tune in to the following at least once on my recommendation... if you hate em, fine but just one episode of the following: Showtime: Shameless, United States of Tara and Nurse Jackie (obviously Dexter... duh). Really stupid but funny category: FX: The League and It's always Sunny in Philadelphia. NBC: The Office and Parks and Recreation. Also on FX the last season of Rescue Me (I highly suggest you rent this show from Netflix if it's available because it is excellent). That's all I got for now. Is it obvious that I watch a lot of T.V.? Fuck it, I don't care. That's what dvrs are for. Please see my previous post about dvrs you will thoroughly enjoy it. I tivo'd it for you.

On a positive note my daughter's boyfriend broke up with her. Not a positive note for her but I am extremely relieved. Sorry honey, I'm just not old enough for you to be dating.

Vegas adventure... oh joy!

Well, fuck it. I lost a follower. Whatever, I'm not bitter. Guess what bitches? Spring soccer has begun. First practice is tomorrow. It's probably going to rain but I don't care, we are practicing!! My job is starting to really suck. My boss is kind of a dick and makes it hard for me to get shit done because he micro manages me to death. My kid is so stressed out he's pulling out his hair and my daughter is starting to like boys way more than I'm ready for. Tonight she's texting a 16 yr old and I'm having heart palpitations. I really didn't think I would be so freaked out about all this but holy shit... I'm not ok with her and boys AT ALL!!! I remember how I was and oh hell no... if she is even close to as bad as I used to be... shoot me now.

ok, i started that a while ago. I'm going to continue where I left off. Daughter... still dating a boy and although i'm horrified, I'm playing it cool so she continues to be honest with us about everything. I trust her... not him but it'll all be fine.

My soccer team is pretty good. We won our first game 4-0 but then got beat really bad in game 2. 0-4. I guess it was a wash... payback maybe.

I just returned from my 3 day Las Vegas convention and had a great time. The first night I started doing Yager shots and passed out before 7 pm. It was really bizarre. I was drinking beer, slowly hittin' the bar where the chick was very informative about good beers and every hour or so, we did a shot. Suddenly I'm winning at the black jack table (up about 50 bucks whatever... ) and then BAM!! I hit the floor and start asking them to take me home (I meant the hotel room... not home, that would take too long), I'm requesting a wheel chair so I wouldn't have to walk to the elevator. It was really embarrassing. Someone took video, nice!! The whole time I'm watching this ridiculous display of behavior on this video footage I'm thinking "wow, I looked really good in that outfit, my arms look so nice in that shirt"... never mind the fact that I'm slurring my words and looking like a jerk off on the floor of the casino... that's how it goes with Yagermeister... one minute your happy, the next your passed out. It's like liquid valium... I musta forgot.

The next night however was much better. Danced and ended up winning $600.00 on a penny slot machine. That sorta made up for the previous night.

Any way... that's my little story. Hope to post again soon. Enjoy my misery. If it makes you feel better about your own life then my work here is done for now.

catching up and not blaming Palin for crosshairs and spew

Well, I'm so sorry. I'm busy, lazy, drunk, tired, distracted and all of the other excuses I can't think of right this minute.

Miss me? I miss you... yes, I do. My daughter is doing well, she's en pointe for ballet which means she wears those special shoes and is learning to dance on her toes just like a real deal ballerina. That kid has talent... I'm not just braggin', she's got some real skill. Her teachers always tell Amy how good she is. She's helping to teach the little kids and is also learning guitar and doing well.

My son is also doing well, he's changed schools and is going to a smaller, magnet school with great teachers and a better music/art program. He needed to get away from the school he was in because there were too many kids and he was totally getting pushed aside. He was getting horrible grades and having a hard time. This is better for him. He started basketball and scored 3 times for his team (they lost by 1 point and in overtime even, the kid that scored the winning shot for the other team did it just as the buzzer went off and was on my soccer team last season... needless to say, my child and him never really got along...go figure).

This season in basketball, I AM NOT COACHING!!! Yeah for me! I was so lucky to see the "evil one" from my last basketball team and though I tried to avoid her... tonight she spotted me, said hi to my kid, gave him a hug (shiver and gag... shiver again... yuck), then said "Hi Angie" all smiley and fake and I returned the hello and turned my head to vomit all over my shoes. If you've ever read this blog, you'll know why I hate that crazy bitch... if you haven't... too much to get into. I'm glad I'm not coaching but it's sad that the reason is because of one really pushy bitch. I might not know basketball but I know coaching and I probably would have signed up but... maybe it's better for my boy that I didn't. His coach is wonderful and giving him a lot of praise, teaching him a lot. Should be good for him. I'm glad.

Now the real reason I am motivated to blog tonight... the "Arizona Massacre". This is a horrible, tragic episode in our history. I just get sick when these things happen. Such unnecessary killing of innocent people. I can only think of how this crazy fucking kid got this big plan to shoot this lady... what was his motivation? I read somewhere (how fox news of me..."somewhere", "they say"..."people say"... etc... you get the idea) that he asked her a question at a "rally" in 2007 and she either answered with something he disagreed with or didn't answer at all. Not sure if that's true or if he just targeted anyone in politics. I'm not good at research tonight. I might as well just say: I read it on the Internet. My point here is that no-one can really, truly know why this kid did this. Obviously he's not totally sane. Obviously he's not currently medicated properly as he needs to be, he's unstable, maybe schizophrenic, maybe just overly aggressive, maybe just pissed off. I worry, I know people (I'm related to people), that are a little unstable and paranoid. It worries me to think that the people close to me could go off at any given moment and hurt someone or themselves. I think we all know someone like that. I think that Sarah Palin probably might know someone like that or Bill O'reilly or Glenn Beck... do you think they realize that?

When Bill O'reilly tells his viewers/listeners that Dr. Tiller is a "baby killer" and "we" should do something about him is he just practicing free speech or is he inciting violence? Does he not realize that there are some people in our great country that might be paranoid or not properly medicated? Does he care? When Glenn Beck says that Obama is a racist and has Nazi rhetoric all over his show is that pushing the limits and evoking hate or is that just his right as a television personality. It's like the sports figures caught doing drugs or fighting dogs or cheating on their wives... is this behavior ok because it's their life? I suppose if it's private, that's different but if in the middle of the Olympics Michael Phelps took a bong toke, wouldn't we be upset because it was on t.v.? I kinda think it's the same deal with these talking heads... they need to be responsible for their actions just in case a lunatic might need a bit of reassurance that someone else might appreciate his or her literal interpretation of "don't retreat, reload" or a whole bunch of cross hairs on a map and a little prodding of "taking out" certain districts.

I don't think that this is Sarah Palin's fault or O'reilly or Beck's... I don't think it's anyone's "fault" but the shooters, however, I do think that these people that continue to antagonize and spew anger need to acknowledge that they are sending a very dangerous message. I would hate to see what might happen if the tables were turned and we all put cross hairs on Sarah Palin's house... oh wait... "we" are the stable ones and wouldn't do anything dangerous... just blog about it.

3rd place...not bad!

Allright then, we did not win the Championship title. We did, however, take the 3rd place trophy home with pride. I was really upset when we lost the 1st game that morning. It was pouring rain and when I think about it, there is at least 5 things I could have done differently to produce a win but when your in the moment, you go with what you know and it's easy to see where you went wrong when all is said and done. That is just how life goes. My kid didn't seem to care one way or the other. He was really happy just to play in the rain and that he tripping the jerky kid on the field seemed to be his greatest achievement and his proudest moment. I actually cried a little when I got home. I sort of built this silly game into this huge meaningful situation and got a little dramatic about it (really, I actually was dramatic about something...so unlike me...). We had a 2 hour break where we washed and dried our clothes, got something to eat and went back on the field to face our season partners: Flash. We've played this team all season at practice and tied them in an official game so it was going to be really fun to play them for the last time for either 3rd or 4th place. We won! All year I've heard them say in different ways how good we were and how much of a better team we were than them so I felt like they actually liked us and if we had to lose to them, it wouldn't hurt so bad. We didn't though so I only felt sorry for them. Lukas scored two goals in the last game and they were his 1st goals for the season so it was bittersweet. Bitter loss in the morning, sweet win in the afternoon. It turned out to be fantastic and although I'm sad to have the season end, I'm slightly relieved at the same time.
Now, it's basketball season and sorry to tell you, I will not coach. I know it's really cool blog drama when I coach basketball but one miserable experience was enough for me. Now, I get to sit in the stands and cheer for my kid!! How exciting for me.

thanks for reading. sorry to bore you... next one will be better, I promise.
